My favorite artist of all time is Frida Kahlo. Not always for her works of art (which are inspiring in their own right) but for what she represented. Frida Kahlo represented a strong female in a time when strength in women was not always the most acceptable trait.
Frida Kahlo spoke through her art, about her innermost demons; she used her art as an escape, a release from an emotional bondage that is palpable the more into your works you immerse yourself. She was a tortured soul; a woman who struggled to find not only herself but her purpose, and perhaps the meaning of not only hers, but all lives.
She was a true feminist in every sense and definition. She defined beauty, strength and courage. Illusionphotograph.com celebrates Frida Kahlo, through her efforts, her pioneering ways and through her artwork.
Here is to you Ms. Kahlo. For who you were, and what you represented!
